Our Stage 1 tuning package for BMW B58-powered vehicles is a precision recalibration of the factory engine management system, engineered to extract the full performance potential of this exceptional powerplant — without the need for any mechanical modifications.

The BMW B58 engine is widely regarded as one of BMW’s strongest and most tuneable modern platforms. With significant headroom from the factory, our Stage 1 calibration unlocks notable gains in power and torque while preserving OEM refinement, drivability, and long-term reliability.

At JWS motorWorks, every Stage 1 B58 tune is custom-developed and validated on our in-house dyno. This allows us to accurately measure baseline output, optimise boost pressure, ignition timing, and fueling, and confirm consistent, repeatable results within safe operating limits. No generic files are used — each vehicle is individually calibrated.

Expected Performance Gains (Stage 1)

While results can vary depending on model, factory power level, fuel quality, and transmission, typical gains for BMW B58 engines are:

• Stock Output:
  ~320–340 bhp / ~450 Nm torque (model dependent)

• Stage 1 Output:
  ~380–420 bhp
  ~550–600 Nm torque

These gains deliver a substantial improvement in mid-range torque, stronger acceleration throughout the rev range, and sharper throttle response — transforming how the vehicle feels in real-world driving.

Despite the increase in performance, efficiency is not compromised. Under normal driving conditions, many vehicles see equal or improved fuel economy, thanks to more efficient engine calibration and reduced throttle demand.
